The Indian Institute of Advanced Study made Snowman of Thinker
Shimla has heaviest snowfall in last five years. The staff of Indian Institute of Advanced Study too celebrated the heavy snowfall and made snow man of Thinker. The scholar who devote their time in the Institute give serious thought on their research topic and believe in the philosophy of thinking. Keeping in view of the researchers mind in the Institute, the Director gave the idea to staff of the Institute to make snow man of thinker which was built on the lawns of the Institute. Thinker is sculpture by Auguste Rodin, whose first cast, of 1902, is now in the Musée Rodin in Paris. It depicts a man in sober meditation battling with a powerful internal struggle. It is often used to represent philosophy. The snowman of thinker attracted large number of tourists, and took photograph with the snowman. The snowman is center of attraction of tourists and staff of the Institute. The Director overwhelmed with the replica of the Thinker and wished entire staff and Fellows of the Institute a very happy and prosperous new year.
